About the Work
Shift’ is an immersive installation that creates both real and imaginary environments. Drawing on Hannah’s interest in architectural details and natural forms and surfaces, using colours, marks and different materials to direct the viewer’s eye and body. Walls, floor, ceiling, furniture and the air itself are filled with an electrical tension. Paintings and objects are shredded, crushed, nailed, taped, pinned, torn, collaged, and re-assembled into entirely new works creating ongoing dialogues with each other.
